CHPA Senior Vice President of Dietary Supplements Duffy MacKay released the following statement in response to results from a recent trial published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (AJCN), finding that adults ages 60 and older who took a daily multivitamin (MVM) showed a “significantly more favorable change in episodic memory,” reducing cognitive aging by two years compared to those who took the placebo. These results mark the third time a MVM clinical trial within the COcoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS) has confirmed the positive benefits MVM’s have on older adults’ cognitive health.
