CHPA Welcomes New Board Members at November Meeting

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — New members of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) Board of Directors were elected at the association’s fall meeting, held November 16, 2017, in New York City, N.Y. Jeffrey R. Needham, executive vice president & president, U.S. consumer healthcare at Perrigo Company, will continue serving as CHPA’s board chairman.

“CHPA benefits from a highly engaged board of directors, led by its chair, Jeff Needham,” said Scott Melville, CHPA president and CEO. “Under Jeff’s direction as chair and our board members’ steady leadership, CHPA took on vast challenges this year in a variety of areas ranging from drug take-back to Monograph reform.” 

“Looking ahead to next year, CHPA is poised to move our industry forward. We welcome our new board members to the table and thank them for being a part of our efforts.”

Newly elected CHPA board members at this meeting include:

  • Carrie Chomiak, Executive Director Consumer Products Head, Purdue Pharma, L.P.
  • George Alafoginis, Client Partner, Facebook

In addition, current CHPA board member Scott R. Emerson, Partner, DSE Healthcare Solutions, LLC was elected to the CHPA board’s executive committee.
