CHPA Statement on the Appointment of Dr. Pasiakos as Director of the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — CHPA President and CEO Scott Melville today released the below statement following the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) announcement that Stefan M. Pasiakos, Ph.D., FACSM, will serve as the new director of its Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS):

“CHPA welcomes Dr. Pasiakos to this new role, where he will be instrumental in helping advance ODS’s mission as its permanent director. ODS plays a critical role in strengthening the public’s knowledge and understanding of dietary supplements by advancing scientific information, supporting research, and disseminating results into findings that are beneficial for consumers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
