CHPA Educational Foundation Announces New Chair, Board Members

(NEW YORK, N.Y.) — At its fall meeting, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) leadership approved Amardeep Kahlon, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of U.S. Marketing at GSK Consumer Healthcare to serve as the new chair of the CHPA Educational Foundation’s board of directors. Kahlon succeeds Christopher D. DeWolf, President and CEO, Lil’ Drug Store Products, Inc., who was serving as the foundation’s interim chair. 

The announcement comes on the heels of the CHPA Educational Foundation’s fourth annual gala, which featured an expanded platform that included a new “OTC Marketing Awards” program, recognizing outstanding marketing expertise and innovation in the consumer healthcare products industry.

“Amardeep has been an enormous asset on the foundation board, providing invaluable expertise and guidance on the foundation’s future plans as well as helping to develop this year’s gala program,” said Anita Brikman, Executive Director of the CHPA Educational Foundation. “We’re thrilled Amardeep is stepping into this new role and we look forward to his ongoing leadership as the foundation continues to evolve and advance our strategic priorities.”

At the November meeting, the foundation board also welcomed four new members:

  • Renato Cataldo, PharmD, Senior Vice President, Innovation, American Pharmacists Association
  • Elizabeth Karvonen, Team Lead, Head of Store Brands, The Emerson Group
  • Megan Koehler, Communications Leader, U.S. Self-Care, Johnson & Johnson 
  • Stefani Klaskow, Head of Industry, Healthcare, Google
