CHPA Elects DeWolf to Chair its Board of Directors

Chief Exec of Cedar Rapids’ Lil’ Drug Store Products Tapped to Head National OTC Industry Association

Washington, D.C. (March 14, 2009)—Members of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) this week elected Christopher D. DeWolf, president and chief executive officer of Lil’ Drug Store Products, Inc., of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the top leadership role within the association. DeWolf becomes CHPA’s 53rd chair of the board and succeeds John T. Hendrickson of Perrigo Company.

“CHPA is truly fortunate to have such a long history of competent and creative board of director chairs,” said Linda A. Suydam, CHPA President. “Chris is just such an individual, and the association and the over-the-counter medicine and nutritional supplement industries we serve are privileged to have him at the helm, especially during these challenging times.” DeWolf was first elected to the CHPA Board of Directors in 2007 and has held the posts of both vice chair and chair of the association’s Business Development Committee.

DeWolf and his wife Suzy purchased Lil’ Drug Store Products in 2005, dramatically diversifying the business, distinguishing between wholesale and consumer operations, adding a service division, and expanding the company’s global presence. Earlier in his career, DeWolf held a number of leadership positions within the General Electric Company including corporate finance, operations, acquisition, and business development.

DeWolf serves on the board of trustees of Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa and is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a global networking and professional-development society. DeWolf also is a committed supporter of the University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business, his undergraduate alma mater, and currently serves on the school’s Marketing Advisory Council. In addition, he has been a professor for undergraduate business courses at the university, as well. DeWolf earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
